  • Part 1: +1 for right, −0.25 for wrong. Switch freely between the three sections.
  • Blanks: 8 unanswered are free, then −0.10 for each further one.
  • General Knowledge: +1, no negative marking, scored apart from Part 1.
  • It's a mock: General Knowledge is optional. You do not have to sit all three hours.

Why these mocks

Practice that behaves like the real thing.

  • The real screen

Section tabs, question palette, mark for review and a countdown, the layout you will see on exam day.

  • Decision Making that teaches

Cases with several questions each. Every solution explains why the best option wins and why each of the others falls short.

  • Part 1, then General Knowledge

One 170-minute clock over three sections you can move between, then a separate 10-minute General Knowledge part.

  • A fair clock

Time is kept on our server. Refreshing or closing the tab does not buy you extra minutes.

  • Why you lost marks

Every miss is sorted: careless, concept gap, too slow, or never reached. And you see exactly what your blanks cost.

  • A PDF to keep

A detailed report with all 95 worked solutions, with the traps in the wrong options explained.

The analysis

Not just a score. A list of what to fix.

XAT punishes both careless guesses and too many blanks. Every attempt ends with a breakdown built to show exactly where your marks went, and what a better attempt strategy would have saved.

  • Part 1 score out of 75, accuracy and attempt rate
  • VALR, Decision Making and Quant & DI results, topic by topic
  • What your blanks cost: the first 8 are free, the rest are −0.10 each
  • What went wrong: careless, concept gap, time lost, never reached
  • A worked solution for all 95 questions, General Knowledge included
  • A detailed PDF, stamped with your name

All questions
Is the pattern the same as the real XAT?

It follows the recent XAT format: 95 questions in 3 hours, every question with five options. Part 1 has 75 questions in 170 minutes: Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (26), Decision Making (21) and Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation (28). You can switch between these three sections freely. Part 2 is General Knowledge: 20 questions in 10 minutes.

How is it marked?

In Part 1, +1 for a right answer and −0.25 for a wrong one. You can leave up to 8 questions unanswered for free; after that, each unanswered question costs 0.10. General Knowledge is +1 with no negative marking, and it is scored separately: it is not part of your Part 1 score or your percentile.

Do I have to sit General Knowledge, or the full 3 hours?

No. In the real XAT you must sit the full three hours. These are mocks, so General Knowledge is optional: when Part 1 ends it opens for 10 minutes, and you can go on to it or submit and see your analysis. If you finish Part 1 early, you can also close it and start General Knowledge straight away.

What is the Decision Making section?

A set of cases (a manager, a bank branch, a plant) with several questions each, where you pick the best course of action. There is no formula to apply, so the practice is in the reasoning. Every solution explains why the best option wins and why each of the others falls short.

What do I get after the mock?

Straight away: your Part 1 score out of 75, accuracy, section-wise and topic-wise results, a breakdown of what went wrong (careless, concept gap, time lost, never reached), time per question, how many blanks cost you marks, your General Knowledge score, and a worked solution for all 95 questions. A detailed PDF too.

How many mocks are there?

Fifteen full-length XAT mocks. They open one after another, and your credits work on any live mock. The page shows what is live and what opens next.

Which pack should I pick?

Only XAT: the XAT pack. XAT with SNAP, or XAT with CAT: the two-exam bundles. Sitting all three: the SNAP + CAT + XAT pack is the cheapest per mock. Already have SNAP or CAT mocks? Log in and you will see a lower returning-student price for XAT in your account.

Are the questions original?

Yes. Every paper is written by The Converts Club in the XAT pattern. They are practice papers, not leaked or copied papers, and not a prediction of the real exam. General Knowledge questions are based on recent events and can go out of date, so treat them as practice.

Can I retake a mock?

Each mock can be taken once, in one sitting, like the real exam. Your solutions and analysis stay in your account to revisit.

Will I get a percentile?

Only when enough students have taken that mock for it to mean something. Until then you see your score and where you lost marks, not a made-up percentile.

Can I get a refund?

If you haven't started any mock, you can ask for a refund within 48 hours of buying. Once a mock is started its credit is used.

XAT is conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur. The Converts Club is an independent practice provider and is not affiliated with XLRI or XAT. These are practice papers: marks and percentiles are for practice and do not predict the real result. Also sitting CAT or SNAP? See the CAT mocks and the SNAP mocks. Refund policy.
